panorama over the region of merano

The view over the orchards from the roof of our hotel goes towards the village of Dorf Tirol and the city of Merano. On the right side you can see the "Meran 2000" cable car mountain station. Behind it a landmark of our region: the summit group with the peaks "Ifinger" and "Hirzer". The most famous Castle of South Tyrol can be seen in the center left of the picture. Behind the castle it goes up into the "Texel Group Nature Park" with Merano's local mountain peak, the "Mutspitze". In the picture below is the connection between the walking paths "Tappeiner Promenade" and "Algunder Waalweg" (traditional irrigation channel).
